Beef Rogan Josh

BEEF ROGAN JOSH CURRY Serves 4-6
1-2 Tblsp Vege Oil, just enough to cover base of saucepan
2 Brown Onions, chopped into 1-2cm pieces
½ Cup Sharwoods Rogan Josh Curry Paste
1kg Oyster Blade or Chuck Steak, cut into large 3-4 cm diced pieces
800g Can Chopped Tomatoes (or two smaller cans to similar grams)
1 Litre Beef Stock
1 Pkt 100g Baby Spinach Leaves (optional)

In large heavy based saucepan, heat oil and add onions and cook until transparent.
Add curry paste and cook 2 mins.
Stir in diced steak and coat pieces well with curry paste.
Add can tomatoes and beef stock.
Cover and bring to boil then reduce heat to simmer.
Cook curry over low heat for 2 ½ - 3 hours, until very tender.
Stirring occasionally to avoid sticking to pan.
Add baby spinach leaves to serve if desired.

Serve with Steamed Rice, Pappadums, Sweet Mango Chutney, Naan Bread and Raita.

Raita – mix these ingredients together and chill
300-500g Greek Style natural yoghurt
1 Garlic Clove, Crushed
1 Lebanese  Cucumber, de-seeded and small diced
2 tsp Lemon Juice
Salt to taste
1 tsp Ground Cumin

2 tblsp Chopped Mint
